Ann Wayne – Author

Check it out!!!

Posted by: tak4 on: February 27, 2009

So one of my best friends, author Lexi Adair, and I have started a new blog together.

So you know what that means? You’ll have to go there!!!  http://nakedtruthauthors.wordpress.com

Since we’ll be running that one, I won’t be updating this blog anymore. That blog is a hell of a lot cooler anyways. It’s got Lexi and contests and me! What more could you ask for. We’ll be blogging about books, sex, life, sex, gripes…and most of all, it’ll be blunt and honest, what she and I are both known for!

Starting March 1st our monthly contest will begin running, so you’d better hurry over there for a chance to win. =)

See ya there!

Trying something new

Posted by: tak4 on: February 24, 2009

So, I started a new story. But I started it in a notebook. Handwritten. It’s first person, which I haven’t done before, which makes it feel more personal. I’m going to see how it goes and try and push through and just write.  Hopefully I’ll be able to finish it and that will be my first draft. Typing it up will be my second draft. I just want to be able to write whenever I want and not be bound to when I’m at home on my laptop. I think that might serve my muse much better, like when I’m on lunch at work and such. I’m sure it will take a lot longer to get through it, and my hand will die, but we’ll see how it goes. It’s worked for one of my best friends, so we’ll see how it works for me. I mean, I always have ideas floating around in my head. Always. I don’t know any writer who does. I think I might start trying to plot some stories out too, and see if that helps me push through them. Wish me luck!

My muse is returning

Posted by: tak4 on: February 23, 2009

So, I spent this week going over the story I told you about that I’m doing with Lexi Adair, got a scene written and turned it back over. Now my hands are just itching to get it back. I’m absolutely, completely and totally in love with the story. I can’t wait to share it with you guys. I’m sure you’ll love it just as much as we do.

Meanwhile, I’m kicking around some other ideas in my head for stories. I haven’t decided if they’ll be joint works with Lexi or if I’ll write them on my own. It’s just so much fun to work with Lexi, and we work so well together. =)

And keep tuned on here, since I’m going to try and be expanding the extras and links and stuff on my blog, and I’m also working on getting my website in order. =)

New Project

Posted by: tak4 on: February 21, 2009

Yeah, I’m working on something new now. One of my best friends and I, Lexi Adair, have started a m/m/f called Breaking the Ice. Yeah, it’s hot. And so far it’s been a blast to write. It’s in my hot little hands right now for my turn, and I’m just loving it. I took the day off today from everything and put together a Lego model of a Ferrari. It’s pretty bad ass, but damn, it took forever! It was fun, though. I enjoyed just doing something totally not computer related. =)

I still don’t have a release date yet for Crossing the Line, but I’m crossing my fingers (no pun intended) that I’ll hear something soon. I”m excited for that one to be out. As soon as I hear something, you will!

Galleys for Crossing the Line

Posted by: tak4 on: February 12, 2009

I’m working on the galleys right now! Woo hoo! I’m going to get them done today and then I’ll be getting a release date. Oh, man I’m so excited. I can’t wait.

I have a couple more stories I’m working on right now, but I have to be honest, the muse has not been nice to me lately. I just haven’t been able to find my mojo where writing is concerned. =( My kitchen is really clean, but I can’t seen to sit down and write anything more than a couple hundred words, and that’s not going to get me anywhere very quickly.

Sigh.

Please, Muse? Be nice to me again?

Oh where oh where did my muse go

Posted by: tak4 on: February 4, 2009

Can anyone pass me on some motivation? I just can’t seem to find any lately. None. Zip. Zero. Zilch.

Sigh.

And now it’s carried over from life into my writing. My muse up and left me, probably heading for someplace sunny and warm. Because lord knows, it sucks around here. I mean, you’d think I’d be able to get tons done with being cooped up inside, but that’s just not the case. I’ve been writing a little but not near as much as I need to. =(

Anyone have any tips or tricks to get into it more and get out of this rut I seem to be in?

Watching the Super Bowl

Posted by: tak4 on: February 1, 2009

Here are my general thoughts and observations throughout the game.=)

Faith Hill – still smoking

Jennifer Hudson = Great job with the National Anthem

Kurt Warner = great guy all around and really hot

Doritos commercial = fucking hilarious. I’m so going to get a snow globe for my desk at work. “My crystal ball is telling me that if you don’t leave me the fuck alone, you’ll miraculously end up with a concussion.”

Steelers “first” touchdown = thank God it got overturned. If they would have let it go, I’da been pissed. By the way, I’ rooting for the Cardinals since they’re the underdog. Duh. =)

Budweiser = They’re spending A LOT of money on their commercials. 1 second of ad time costs 1ooK…you add it up….plus the cost of making the commercial. That’s 3 million dollars for 30 seconds on ad time…and I’ve already seen about three or four Bud commercials. And I don’t want to think about how much it cost them to get Conan to do a commercial for them. And I have to admit, the Clyde fetching was AWESOME! =)

The Fast and the Furious = another one? Really? Do we need one? Though I have to admit, this one doesn’t look so bad. The first one was good, the second one SUCKED. I just hate when they come out because then everyone tries to copy it. People with cheap parts, lime green cars, and stickers all over them suck. I mean, seriously. Enough people, enough.

Land of the Lost = Will Ferrell freaking rocks. Gotta see that one. =)

Go Daddy = Danica Patrick…yeah, she’s HAWT. Anything with her is good. Anything.

Pepsi Max commercial = oh damn, that made me cringe just to watch it. Ouch!

The cars.com commercial was stupid as hell. What a waste of money.

The 100 yard touchdown = Holy shit. I’m rooting for the Cardinals, but hot damn! That was freaking awesome!

Bruce Springsteen sliding into the camera with his crotch…priceless. LMFAO

Happy February!

Posted by: tak4 on: February 1, 2009

I can’t believe January is already gone. Wow. And to tell you the truth, I pretty much missed all of my goals for January, but I’m going to be getting better as time goes on. January and February are just such hard months. They suck, very much so.

And I don’t know anyone who would disagree with that. I mean, if there are, then feel free to tell me why they don’t suck, because I’d love to have another way to look at it. LOL

And tonight, the Super Bowl. I’m not really a fan of either, but I’ll still watch anyway. I can’t NOT watch the Super Bowl. That’s just un-American. Though I did hear a rumor that the commercials aren’t going to be very good this year, with the economy and all. But I pretty much figured that.

Hopefully everyone else is doing well and mustering through the cold winter weather. I know I’m just barely making it through…..lord, I can’t wait for spring!

Oh man

Posted by: tak4 on: January 30, 2009

I’m sorry. I’ve really sucked at keeping up on this. Forgive me! And no, I don’t have a valid excuse. I really will get better. =)

I still don’t have a date of publication for Crossing the Line, but I should soon. And trust me, as soon as I know, you will. I’m so excited! Right now I’m working on another story, so we’ll see what I can get done with that one. I’m still on the first draft, so it’ll be a little bit of time before it’s done and I find a home for it, but rest-assured, you’ll love Trista, Greyson and Heath as much as I do. =)

The Muse

Posted by: tak4 on: January 16, 2009

Sometimes the muse each writer has is a wonderful thing. And sometimes they suck and you wish you could hire a new one. I’m at the point where I think mine is stinking up the place and I want to put an ad out on Craigslist, Google, MySpace, Facebook, TV, the local paper… ANYWHERE… for a new muse. Mine is stuck. She’s giving me the silent treatment, and I hate it. Then again, I’m not sure anyone really likes it, mind you. You’re completely at their mercy, and I’m soooo not a person who likes to be at anyone’s mercy. My muse is so terrible right now that I started this post back on December 5 and I’m just now finishing it on January 16. If that’s not stuck in a rut, then I’m not sure what is.
